Description
Interlude Homme is a smoky, resinous fragrance with a character that leans strongly oriental. The opening of oregano, black pepper, and bergamot is unusual for a men’s EDP. The oregano in particular gives it a herbal sharpness that is distinctly different from the standard woody-citrus opening most men’s fragrances rely on.
As it develops, incense, opoponax, amber, and labdanum take over. This is a genuinely heavy middle phase. Opoponax is a sweet resin closely related to myrrh, and here it blends with the incense to create a thick, smoky warmth that sits prominently on the skin. This is not a background scent.
The base of oud, leather, sandalwood, and patchouli deepens everything further. Expect strong projection and a dry-down that can last 8 hours or more. This fragrance performs best in cooler weather. In India’s summers, the heaviness can become uncomfortable, so autumn and winter evenings are ideal.
This is a scent for someone who has worn fragrances before and knows what they like. Not recommended as a first perfume or for office use. Best for formal dinners, weddings, or evening events where you want presence without saying a word.
